ERNEST BORGNINE
The Academy Award winning actor is shown in a black and white publicity photograph for the 1972 film The Poseidon Adventure.
Inscribed Photograph signed: "To/Pierre/Best Wishes/Ernest/Borgnine", B/w 8x10. Publicity photograph for the 1972 film The Poseidon Adventure. 1955, Ernest Borgnine (1917-2012)  proved his versatility in the film version of Paddy Chayefsky's acclaimed television play Marty. Borgnine's moving portrayal earned him an Oscar, a British Academy award, a Cannes Festival award and an award from both the New York Film Critics and the National Board of Review. In 1962, he was cast in the role that most baby boomers best remember him for: Quinton McHale in the sitcom McHale's Navy. During the 1960s and 1970s, Borgnine appeared in many films, including The Dirty Dozen (1966), Ice Station Zebra (1968) and The Wild Bunch (1969). Following the demise of McHale's Navy, the actor continued his busy career. Notable features include The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and Law and Disorder (1974). Borgnine earned an Emmy at age 92 for his work on ER. Slightly creased at corners and edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
