folds. Binding holes along right side. Lightly toned. Creasing toward lower fold and at upper
left-hand corner. Otherwise, fine condition. Also included is the original mailing envelope,

Ernest van den Haag (1914-2002) was a Dutch-American sociologist and social critic. He
was named the John M. Olin Professor of Jurisprudence and Public Policy at Fordham
University. Van den Haag was widely known for his contributions to the National Review.
Among the many contentious opinions he held, his belief in segregation and his support
of the death penalty were perhaps the most controversial. Two items.
