English flyweight boxer Ernie Jarvis (1904-1963) fought his first pro
bout one day after his 16th birthday, and kept fighting through the 1920's.
He had two shots at the world championship (1927, 1929), but lost on
points both times. Jarvis finished with 89 wins, 47 losses, and a
surprisingly high total of 24 draws. He scored eight knockouts while suffering
three. Bowed. Toned. Surface creases (seen head on). Lightly soiled in top right
margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
