TLS is inscribed by Caldwell "To:/Ellen and Jerry Granat/From:/Erskine Caldwell". Rheem Valley, California, 1967 March 10. On his personal letterhead, in full: "The following seven pages contain my own working material (and final as revised) of lyrics used in the motion picture God's Little Acre. The lyrics were used for the music for the film as composed by Elmer Bernstein. The film was produced by Security Pictures and distributed by United Artists. The screenplay for the film was written by Philip Yordan. It was directed by Anthony Mann. Among the players were: Tina Louise, Robert Ryan and Buddy Hackett." The 7 pages of typed lyrics which follow are un-titled, but numbered sequentially. Two of these pages are signed by Caldwell, and he has made handwritten corrections.
