State Opera
Autograph Note signed (in German, translated): "Most heartfelt/for
Edwin/Erwin Bredow/22.VI.55", 4½x3. Newspaper photo in upper right. Also
signed on verso (in German, translated): "Hella Troester/State Opera
Berlin/22.VI.55". Pencil notes (unknown hand) at lower edge. German
ballet dancer ERWIN BREDOW (1922=1980) performed with the Berlin
State Opera, as shown here, and was seen on many TV specials of the 1950s and
sixties, including Europe's New Music Parade (1957). German ballerina
HELLA TROESTER was seen in supporting roles in performances of the Berlin
State Opera, cast as a dancing cow, for example, in a 1954 production of Peer
Gynt. Toned. Bottom edge lightly frayed from binding. Pencil notes (unknown
hand). Otherwise, fine condition.
