Postmarked Los Angeles, California, December 12, 1946. Exotically
beautiful, Estelle Taylor began her show business career as a Broadway chorus
dancer before debuting in films (While New York Sleeps, 1920). She
appeared in the silents The Ten Commandments (as Miriam, 1923) and gave a
wry performance of Lucrezia Borgia in 1926's Don Juan before moving
easily to "talkies". Taylor starred in such feature films as
Cimarron (1931) and Call Her Savage (1932) before retiring in
the 1930s. The actress, who also made news as the wife (1925-1931) of boxing
champ Jack Dempsey, made her last film appearance in 1945 in The
Southerner. Lightly soiled and worn at edges. Address crossed out in pencil
and new address printed (unknown hand) below. Otherwise, fine
condition.
