E.T., THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL: STEVEN SPIELBERG & HENRY THOMAS
Steven Spielberg and Henry Thomas sign an advertisement for the movie E. T., The Extra-Terrestrial.
Advertisement signed: "Steven Spielberg" and "Henry Thomas". 6p color booklet, 8½x11. Titled: "The #1 Box-Office Hit of All Time Comes Home Again..." Nominated for nine Academy Awards in 1982, E.T., The Extra-Terrestrial won four. STEVEN Spielberg was nominated for Best Director. The most commercially successful filmmaker in Hollywood history, Spielberg is lifelong cinema buff--he began directing his first short movies while still a child. He has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director five times, winning for Schindler's List (1994) and Saving Private Ryan (1999). Known to millions of early-80s filmgoers as Elliot, the young boy who befriends a leathery, long-necked alien, HENRY Thomas rocketed to fame with his starring role in this film. He won the 1983 Young Artist Award for Best Young Motion Picture Actor and was nominated for the 1983 Golden Globe for New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture-Male. He remained somewhat active in low-profile projects until his acclaimed supporting turn as a wandering cowboy in Billy Bob Thornton's All the Pretty Horses (2000); he then appeared in Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York (2001). Light surface wear. Overall, fine condition.
