Signed carbon copy of Standard AFTRA contract for a TV appearance as a guest star on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, an NBC network broadcast scheduled for April 6, 1960, with rehearsals as required beginning April 1. Her compensation was $7,500, to include any rebroadcast within a calendar year. After making her first film (Song of Love, 1929) and appearing in several annual Ziegfeld Follies, Eve Arden (1912-1990) returned to films typecast as the knowing friend of the leading lady. She received a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for Mildred Pierce (1945). Arden is best remembered as for her starring role in Our Miss Brooks, first on radio (1948) and on then TV (1952-1957). Continuing in supporting roles on stage and film, she became familiar to a new generation as the school principal in the film version of Grease (1978). Lightly creased. staple holes at upper left.
