PHIL EVERLY (THE EVERLY BROTHERS)
Photograph of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musicians, signed by younger brother Phil in silver felt tip
Photograph signed: "Phil Everly", in silver felt tip, Color 8x10. PHIL EVERLY (1939-2014) and Don Everly (born in 1937) transformed the Appalachian folk, bluegrass and country sounds of their Kentucky boyhood into a richly harmonized form of rock and roll. Their steady string of hit records between 1957-1962 crossed over from country to pop and even R&B charts. Their hits include "Bye Bye Love", "Wake Up Little Susie", "All I Have to Do is Dream", "Bird Dog" and "Cathy's Clown". The Everly Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2004, they toured the U.S. and Europe as guest performers on Simon and Garfunkel's "Old Friends" tour. Ink markings and smears across photograph. Corners slightly worn. Slightly soiled. Slightly bowed. Printing defects from original negative. Otherwise, fine condition.
