Actress and singer VALERIE PERRI received rave reviews for her performance in the title role in the first national tour of Evita. Her theatrical resume includes many classic musicals, including West Side Story, Gypsy, Jesus Christ Superstar and Man of La Mancha. She won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award in the Pasadena Playhouse production of Harry Chapin: Lies and Legends; She has recorded a collection of pop standards, Sweet Conversation, and performed with Symphony Orchestras on stages from Wolftrap to the London Palladium to the Frankfort Opera House, and sang in the world premiere concert of Masada. STEF TOVAR, who appeared as Ché Guevara in this production of Evita, moved from California stages back to his native Chicago as a founding member of the Route 66 Company, starring as Noah in the troupe's biggest hit to date, A Twist of Water. He won a Joseph Jefferson Award for his supporting role in Blade to the Heat (1997). His Broadway credits extend from 1995 to the present. DANIEL GUZMAN (b. 1973), cast as Magaldi (Eva's first step up) in Evita, appeared on Broadway in Cyrano: the Musical, and has been seen often on in family dramas on Spanish-language television. DAVID WASSON, better known for his work as a TV scriptwriter, director and producer, has some stage credits, too, including supporting roles in three Broadway productions of Man of La Mancha, and his portrayal of Juan Perón here.
