Typed Letter signed: "Faith Baldwin/ (Mrs. Hugh Cuthrell)", 1 page, 6¾x3¼. St. Lawrence, August 13, 1927. To "Dear Mr. Bohrer," in full: "Thank you for your recent letter and I am more than glad to send you my autograph. I am up in a camp on the St. Lawrence and have no cards or letterheads. So you will have to excuse the scrawl. With all good wishes, very sincerely yours." Faith Baldwin (1893-1978)wrote more than 85 books, including over 60 novels, mostly light fiction for female audiences. Her popularity peaked during the Depression, when many of her works appeared in serial and movie form. She wrote a column for Woman's Day magazine, and hosted a radio and later TV program, Faith Baldwin Romance Theatre. Multiple mailing folds. Toned. Irregularly cropped at edges.
