Autograph sentiment signed "Good luck-/from-/Faith Brook" in blue ink. Lead pencil and blue ink notations on verso in unknown hand. 3½x4¼ fabric-textured card, rounded bottom corners. 2x2¾ b/w printed photo affixed near top edge. British actress Brook, born in 1922, is the daughter of leading man Clive Brook and has been on the stage since her teens. She's had numerous and regular appearances on the British stage between the 1940s and 1990s, as well as three performing credits on Broadway in the 1940s and 1950s. Brook has also appeared in over 80 movies and TV shows since 1941, including starring roles in Uneasy Terms (1948), Finger of Guilt (1956), Chase a Crooked Shadow (1958), The Finest Hours (1964), Adelaide (1968), School for Unclaimed Girls (1969), Walk a Crooked Path (1969), The Weather in the Streets (1983) and Elgar's Tenth Muse: The Life of an English Composer (1996). Her numerous TV performances include Countess Rostova in the mini-series War and Peace (1972) and recurring roles as Lady Knox in The Irish R. M. (1983-1984) and Eleanor Beaufort on Gentlemen and Players (1988-1989). Lightly toned, creased and bowed. Lightly soiled on verso (no show-through). Otherwise in fine condition.
