FANTASY ISLAND TV CAST: RICARDO MONTALBAN, HERVE VILLECHAIZE, JILL WHELAN, JIMMY BAIO, JOANNA BARNES and JARROD JOHNSON
Script for the 1979 Fantasy Island episode Amusement Park/Rock Stars, signed to actor Keith Coogan by fellow cast members Ricardo Montalban (Mr. Roarke), Herve Villechaize (Tattoo), Jill Whelan, Jimmy Baio, Joanna Barnes and Jarrod Johnson
Inscribed script signed "Love/and Tattoo", "To Keith/from your amigo/Ricardo Montalban", "Jimmy Baio", "Forever may your/days be prosperous/Jarrod/John/Son", "To Keith/It was a pleasure working with you/Good Luck/Joanna Barnes" and "To a great Guy!/have fun and/Good Luck!/Love/Jill Whelan" on front cover, all in blue ink. black ink notations in unknown hand. 52 pages, 8½x10¾, bound in whit cardstock covers with 2 brass fasteners. This copy apparently belonged to actor Keith Coogan, who was billed on this episode of Fantasy Island as "Keith Mitchell". Coogan returned to Fantasy Island again in 1980. This episode of Fantasy Island aired on May 13, 1979. MONTALBAN and VILLECHAIZE were of course Mr. Roarke and Tattoo. WHELAN, BAIO, BARNES and JOHNSON all appeared in this episode with Coogan. The ABC series Fantasy Island ran from 1978 to 1984 with Montalban as Mr. Roarke, proprietor of Fantasy Island, a tropical resort where guests could live out their wildest dreams. Villechaize was his assistant Tattoo. Villechaize was fired after the 1982-1983 season when he insisted on getting the same salary as Montalban. He became alcoholic and depressive and, in 1993, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Notations, but not signatures, have bled lightly in places from soiling. Front cover is lightly torn at left edge. Rounded, worn and creased corners. One fastener is missing. Fasteners are tarnished. Otherwise in fine condition.
