Photograph signed: "Dom DeLuise" and "Ron Carey", B/w 10x8. In the dark and sometimes sad comedy Fatso, an extremely obese man is pushed by his sister to shed a few pounds lest he end up dead like his cousin. Comic actor DOM DeLUISE (1933-2009) has appeared on Broadway and on the big and small screens. His feature films include The Glass-Bottom Boat (1966), The Twelve Chairs (1970), Blazing Saddles (1974), Silent Movie (1976), The End (1978), The Muppet Movie (1979), History of the World - Part 1 (1981), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Spaceballs (1987) and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), and De Luise also hosted a weekly summer variety program on TV. A lifelong opera buff, DeLuise has been given the opportunity from time to time to perform with various opera companies. In 1995, he brought down the house at New York's Metropolitan in the role of Frosh the Jailer in Die Fledermaus. DeLuise, who has been married to actress Carol Arthur since 1965, has three sons, Peter, Michael and David, who are also actors. Screen and television comic actor RON CAREY (1935-2007), born Ronald Joseph Cicenia, is best known for his role as Officer Carl Levitt (1976-1982) on the hit TV sitcom, Barney Miller, which aired from 1975-1982. Carey, who began his career in stand-up comedy, made his TV debut on The Merv Griffin Show (1966), and he went on to make guest appearances on such variety/talk shows as Toast of the Town (The Ed Sullivan Show) in 1969-1970 and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1970). Carey also appeared on several other TV series, and he made a number of feature films. After debuting on the big screen in 1970's The Out of Towners, Carey was seen in such films as Silent Movie (1976), High Anxiety (1977), History of the World: Part I (1981) and Food for Thought (1999, his last film).
