Photograph signed: "Suzy Kendall", "Barry Newman", Color 10x8. SUZY KENDALL (b. 1944) is a British film actress most known for her roles through the 1960's and 70's. She first appeared as an actress in the television series R3 (1965), and made her first film appearance in that same year in The Liquidator. This was then followed by a string of films, with several proving successful, including To Sir, With Love (1967), The Penthouse (1967), and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970). Though she had a promising film career, Kendall seemed resistant to fame, and slowly began appearing in less and less films, with her last major role being in the 1977 film Adventures of a Private Eye (1977). In 2012, Kendall came out of her acting retirement to make a special guest appearance in the film Berberian Sound Studio. American actor BARRY NEWMAN'S (1938-2023) first film was the gangster potboiler Pretty Boy Floyd (1960), but his breakthrough picture was The Lawyer (1969). He made an excellent impression as a cocky gonzo attorney, a character reprised in the 1975 TV movie Night Games. This led to the TV series Petrocelli, starring Newman as a compassionate big-city lawyer. He later showed up on stage, in several TV movies and in the TV series Nightingales. Corners lightly worn.
