Most signatures are individually dated April 26 or April 27, 1980. These signatures were collected at the 500 kilometer Brands Hatch Circuit, where the third round of the European Touring Car Championship was taking place. Competitors in this race included signers Sigi Muller Jr. (1st in the race), Holman “Les” Blackburn, Toni Spiegelsberger, Harald Neger, Jim Crawford, Maurizio Micangeli, Barrie Williams, and Tom Pitcher. Seven months after they signed this sheet, Roberto Moreno, (1st), Robert Gibbs (6th) Bo Martinsson (8th), and Peter Argetsinger (14th) would all place in the 1980 Formula Ford Festival competition on the same race track. Other especially notable signers include Jim Crawford (1948-2002) and Mario Hytten (b. 1957). The signatures are a uniquely large collection crossing over many different facets of the racing world.
