colors from an expedition into Afghanistan in the last 200 years. From 1892, he
was known as Baron Roberts of Kandahar. Roberts (1832-1914) later served as
Commander in Chief in India (1885-1893), Commander in Chief in Ireland
(1895-1899) and he held the supreme command in South Africa (1899-1900).
During the Boer War, he annexed the Orange Free State and Transvaal and captured
Johannesburg and Pretoria. Lightly soiled at blank areas. Mounting tape remnants
