Price: $950.00
HILLARY CLINTON and NANCY PELOSI
Two Democratic women who scored politics "firsts" sign an engraving of the
Capitol.
Engraving signed: "Hillary Rodham Clinton", "Nancy Pelosi", 8x6 card.
B/w image of the US Capitol building from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
In November 2000, HILLARY CLINTON followed up her eight years as the
first or second most influential First Lady in history (alongside Eleanor
Roosevelt) by winning election to the US Senate from New York, becoming the
first Presidential spouse to win office in her own right. She was
reelected by a landslide in 2006, and in 2007 announced her own candidacy for
President of the United States. When Democrats regained control of Congress
in 2006, NANCY PELOSI, a 20-year Congressional veteran from California,
became in 2007 the first female speaker of the U.S. House of
Representatives. Polls show Hillary Clinton to be a strong contender for the
Democratic Party's presidential nomination. If she achieves that goal and goes
on to win the Presidency, and if the Democrats retain their razor-thin majority
in the House, Clinton and Pelosi will be by far the most powerful women in the
history of the United States, if not the world. Fine
condition.
