The two comic actors signs film still from For Those Who Think Young
Printed photograph signed in ink: "Love & Laughter/ Paul Lynde" in blue ink and "Woody Woodbury" in black ink. B/w, 10x8. Still from their film For Those Who Think Young (1964). Beginning with the 1963 Disney film Son of Flubber, comic actor PAUL LYNDE (1926-1982, born in Mount Vernon, Ohio) played a series of movie character parts in which he made snide, cynical comments about everyone and everything. His notable performances include the long-suffering father in Broadway's Bye Bye Birdie and Uncle Arthur on TV's Bewitched. During the late 1970s, Lynde cultivated a fan following for his wisecracking appearances in the "center square" on the TV celebrity quizzer, Hollywood Squares. WOODY WOODBURY (b. 1924) is an American comedian, actor and talk show host, best known for his comedy albuns of risqué stories which were released in the early 1960s, making him one of the first comedians to receive a gold record. In 1962, Woodbury replaced Johnny Carson as the host of the game show Who Do You Trust? eventually moving on to films such as Safe At Home (1962), Super Fuzz (1981) and Hardly Working (1981). He also hosting his own variety show, The Woody Woodbury Show, from 1967 to 1969. Toned. Corners rounded and creased. Light surface creases. Slightly soiled. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand.
