Actress Frances Drake (1912-2000) was educated in England and Canada and made her show business debut as a nightclub dancer in London. Drake, who debuted in films in 1933, appeared in a number of features (often as the heroine of a melodrama) through 1942, including Bolero (1934), Les Misérables (1935), Mad Love (1935), The Invisible Ray (1936), Florida Special (1936), The Lone Wolf in Paris (1938), It's a Wonderful World (1939) and The Affairs of Martha (1942). Drake's first husband was a titled Englishman, Lieutenant Cecil John Arthur Howard, to whom she was married from 1939 until his death in 1985. Corners worn and creased. Signature smeared (legible).
