Actress and singer Frances Langford signed this three-year contract in 1950 to hire the William Morris Agency as her TV agent for a 10 percent commission.
Contract signed "Frances Langford" in blue ink andby a representative of the William Morris Agency in black ink. 1 page, 8½x13, with two file holes at top edge. Sept. 22, 1950. Langford signed this document to hire the William Morris Agency as her TV agent for three years, for which the agency received a 10 percent commission. Langford has one TV credit during this contract's period, as a co-host on The Frances Langford-Don Ameche Show (1951-1952). This was a TV spinoff of their successful radio show The Bickersons. Actress and band singer Langford (1914-2005, born Frances Newbern in Lakeland, Florida) was a radio star of the 1940s, performing on her own show, with Bob Hope and paired with Don Ameche in the comedic The Bickersons. Her best film work includes Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942) and The Bamboo Blonde (1945). Langford's musical repertoire featured show tunes and pop standards. Lightly toned and creased. Staple holes in top left corner. Folded twice and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
