Corp., New York city, for Jungle Terror (1946) - a movie that, according
to the cover, could be summed up as "One man defying a thousand deaths in a
green hell of creeping horror!" Jungle Terror is a re-release of
Buck's Jungle Menace (1937), the only movie in which he had a
dramatic acting role. This booklet includes stories about the movie,
catchlines and ads for Jungle Terror posters and lobby cards. Hunter,
author and filmmaker Frank Buck (1884-1950) made his first expedition
to South America in 1911. He eventually traveled to Malaya, India, Borneo,
New Guinea and Africa. From these and other expeditions, he brought back many
exotic species of animals, which he sold to zoos and circuses, ultimately
acquiring the nickname "Bring 'em Back Alive". The Frank Buck Zoo, named
in his honor, is located in Gainesville, Texas, the birthplace of the
adventurer. Lightly toned. Staples have rusted. Folded in half and unfolded.
