Clipped Signature: "Frank Buchanan"3½x2. Frank
Buchanan (1902-1951) was a Democratic politician from
Pennsylvania, serving in the US House of Representatives from 1946 to 1951.
Previously a school teacher and automobile salesman, Buchanan worked as an
economic consultant for 18 years (1928-1946) before he was elected to the 79th
Congress, filling the vacancy caused by the resignation of Samuel A. Weiss. He
was elected to the two subsequent congresses, serving as the Chairman of the
United States House Select Committee on Lobbying Activities during the 81st
Congress. He died of esophageal and gastric bleeding in Bethesda, Maryland
in 1951. He was 48. Lightly toned. Fine condition.
