FRANK CONNER. Golf Glove signed: "Frank/Conner" on palm.
"Titleist 1" left glove. Frank Conner, born in Vienna, Austria in 1946, is
one of only two men to have played in the U.S. Open in both tennis and
golf (Ellsworth Vines is the other). Conner, who had a tennis singles
record of 55-17, began playing golf at the age of 24. He turned pro in
1972 and joined the PGA tour in 1975. He won two tournaments,
the 1982 King Hassan Open in Morocco and the 1988 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic,
and finished second four times before joining the Senior PGA Tour (1995),
on which he has also finished second four times. Game used. Heavily soiled on
underside, touching signature, which is large and bold. Minor scuffs at area
beneath signature, tape strip around lower portion of thumb. Overall, fine
condition.
