Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Ruth & Aubury/Frank Fontaine". B/w, 8x9. Comedian/actor Frank Fontaine (1920-1978) is best known for his "Crazy Guggenheim" character, which he portrayed on the TV series Jackie Gleason and His American Scene Magazine (1962-1966) and reprised on a guest visit to The Jackie Gleason Show in 1967. A fine singer as well as comedian, Fontaine was a regular on the TV series Music Hall (1952), and he guest starred on The Jack Benny Program (1951, 1959, 1960, 1961) and The Dean Martin Show (1966). Fontaine also appeared in several feature films from 1950-1953. Lightly creased at blank margins and corners, lower margin trimmed away. Minor surface creases and scratches (most not evident head-on), some touch cheek of facial image. Two file holes at left margin and background, "(63)" written in unknown hand at lower left corner. Overall, fine condition.
