Biography signed: "Frank Gill.", 8½x11. Included is the original mailing envelope. Signed on his printed image and biography published by the New Zealand Embassy to the United States. New Zealand military officer and politician Frank Gill (1917-1982), a fighter pilot in the Battle of Britain, rose to the rank of Air Commodore in the Royal New Zealand Air Force (1965). He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1961. A member of the National Party, he served in the New Zealand Parliament (1969-1980), filling several Cabinet posts: Health, and Immigration (both 1975-1978); and Defence and Police (both 1978-1980). A former military attaché in Washington, he served as New Zealand's Ambassador to the US from 1981 until his death the following year. Light surface creases. Corners slightly worn.
