Photograph signed: “Frank/Musil” in purple ink. 3½x5¼. Frantisek "Frank" Musil (b. 1964)
is a retired NHL defenseman who played fifteen seasons for the Minnesota North Stars
(1986-1991), the Calgary Flames (1990-1995), the Ottawa Senators (1995-1997), and the
Edmonton Oilers (1998-2001). Noticed early while playing for Czechoslovakia's
gold-winning national team, Musil had a difficult time making it to North American to play
professional hockey. After some deception and modifications around, he made it to
Minnesota to start a very productive career with 797 NHL games with 140 points and
1241 penalty points. After retiring in 2001, Musil has since worked as a scout for the Oilers.
