FRANK SINATRA JR. The son of Frank Sinatra who released some original albums and tribute albums alike signed this black and white photograph featuring him with a microphone in his hand Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Karl -/ All the best/ Frank Sinatra Jr/ 1985". B/w, 8x10. Frank Sinatra Jr. (1944-2016) became a successful singer and songwriter in his own right, stepping out of the long shadow of his father Frank Sinatra. The younger Sinatra began singing with the Jimmy Dorsey Band in 1963. In December of that year, he was kidnapped and held for ransom, an incident that initially overshadowed his successful music career. As his father's music director, he learned his father's style, tone, delivery and mannerisms. This helped him release his first album, Young Love for Sale, in 1965. The album had the eloquence and style of an "Ol' Blue Eyes" release. In the 1980s, he began performing in nightclubs in Las Vegas. He also appeared in several screen productions, including Cool World and Hollywood Homicide (2003). In addition to pursuing his own career, Frank Jr. kept his father's memory alive with tribute albums. Defects from original negative have reproduced at background. Slightly creased in upper margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
