FRANKIE LAINE. Record inscribed and signed: "To Selwyn/Warmest
Regards/Frankie Laine". Thirty-three rpm album, A Country Laine, by
Frankie Laine (playback Records), signed on label of Side 2. Record sleeve and
album cover included. The vocal repertoire of Frankie Laine (1913-2007), born
Frank LoVecchio, was diverse: pop, jazz standards, country/western and
devotional. His U.S. popularity was at its peak in the 1950s, when he
recorded such hits as "Mule Train", "Hey, Good Lookin'", "I Believe", "Midnight
Gambler", and the themes for classic Westerns High Noon and
Rawhide. He remained popular in Europe much longer, touring there
with much success. One-inch crack in record. Album cover lightly creased.
Otherwise, fine condition.
