Typed Letter Signed: "Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr.", 1p, 8½x11 on Roosevelt for Governor Letterhead. Hotel Lancaster, New York, New York, 1966 November 4. To Mr. Alan Weinberger, Class *SP-1, Nathaniel Hawthorne Junior High School, Bayside, New York. In full: "Thank you for your letter. I am enclosing copy of 2 'white papers' [not present] which I issued during the campaign, which should answer your questions. I am also enclosing the photograph [not present] which you requested. Sincerely yours," Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Jr. (1914-1988) represented New York in Congress from 1949-1955. He ran unsuccessfully for Attorney General of New York in 1954 and Governor of New York in 1966. He was married to Ethel DuPont (1937-1949, divorced), Suzanne Perrin (1949-1970, divorced), Felicia Schiff Warburg Sarnoff (1970-1976, divorced) and Patricia Luisa Oakes (1977-1981, divorced). Fold crease not near signature. Fine condition.
