FRANZ JOSEF JUNG
The controversial politician signs his name in black ink on this 6x4 image
Photograph signed: "F.J. Jung", in black ink, 6x4 (actual image 2¾x3¾). Franz Josef Jung (b. 1949) is a German politician, and former Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. Following military service in his youth, Jung completed his doctoral studies in law, serving in various political functions and acting as state minister. He caused controversy in 2007 when remarking that jetliners should be shot down in the case of a terrorist attack on Germany, with his fellow politicians and constituents remarking him as "unconstitutional". Two years later, after newly becoming the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Jung resigned from his position after denying civilian deaths in the Kunduz airstrike on two fuel tankers captured by Taliban rebels, when in fact there were over 90 civilian deaths from the air strike. Light surface crease. Fine condition.
