Fred Bongusto (b. 1935) was an Italian singer/songwriter who enjoyed his heyday in the
1960s and the 1970s. One of Bongusto's first songs was "Bella Bellissima". Some of the
most popular songs he has recorded include the following: "Prima c'eri tu", "Una rotunda
sul mare", and "Malaga". Bongusto was also a prolific soundtrack composer. A few of the
movies that featured his compositions are Un Detective (1969), The Divorce (1970), and
Malizia (1973). In 2005, he had the official title of Commendatore bestowed upon him by
President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. Lightly toned. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso.
