FRED SCOTT
Large 14x11 sepia toned photograph of Scott beside his horse White
King, signed to a fan
Inscribed photograph signed: "To my friend/Clinton Brown/Fred
Scott", in black ink, Sepia 14x11. Former vaudeville entertainer and
opera singer Fred Scott (1902-1992), who had appeared in some Mack Sennett
comedies of the silent film era, gained popularity as "the Silvery-Voiced
Buckaroo" in low-budget Western movies of the 1930s. French industrialist
Charles Pathé was a major force in the early film industry, producing both
newsreels and feature films. The disruptions of World War I began a long decline
for Pathé studios, which were finally absorbed into RKO films in 1932. Corners
slightly worn and creased. Edges slightly worn and creased. Stray pencil marks
on edges. Slight surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
