Signature: “Fred Gwyn/ 'The Clown Prince'”, in black ink, 3x1½. Fred Gwyn was a comedian sometimes referred to as “The Clown Prince of Comedians” who performed in various theaters and music halls, mostly during the first half of the 20th century. He appeared in 1942's live show The Peep Show with Patrick Colbert and Mona Vivian. Sparsely stained and scuffed. Lightly toned. Adhesive remnants from a previous mounting on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
