In full: "FREDRIC MARCH, double Academy Award winner, who plays the title role in 'Christopher Columbus', Sydney Box's new production in Technicolor for Gainsborough Pictures. Fredric March is seen with his copy of the script bound in 18th century binding and printed with his name - a momento from Gainsborough chief Sydney Box. Produced by Frank Bundy, directed by David Macdonald and filmed at Gainsborough Studios, Shepherd's Bush, and on location in the West Indies, 'Christopher Columbus' has an impressive cast headed by Fredric March, Florence Eldridge, Linden Travers and Francis L. Sullivan." Stage, screen and occasional television actor Fredric March (1897-1975), born Ernest Frederick McIntyre Bickel, won the Academy Award for Best Actor for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931-1932) and The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), and he was also nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for The Royal Family of Broadway (1930-1931), A Star is Born (1937) and Death of a Salesman (1951). March, whose other films include The Barretts of Wimpole Street (1934), Les Misérables (1935), Inherit the Wind (1960) and Seven Days in May (1964), also won Best Actor Tony Awards for Years Ago (1947) and Long Day's Journey Into Night (1957). Lightly creased at blank margins and corners. Minor surface creases (most not evident head on). Light stain (barely visible) at left side of facial image. Identifying stamps on verso (no show through). Overall, fine condition.
