Inscribed photograph signed: "For Robyn/G. Panova/1984" in blue ink and "Thanks!/Lara E. Teeter" in silver ink. 10¼x8. Galina Panova was a Russian professional ballet dancer. A graduate of The Perm Choreographic School and Ballet Academy in Russia, her professional career includes Principal Ballet Artist with the Tchaikovsky Opera House, Perm and the Kirov Opera and Ballet, St. Petersburg. At the age of eighteen she won a gold medal at the Varna International Ballet. Panova appeared on Broadway and in London in the leading role in "On Your Toes", choreographed by George Balanchine. She was married to dancer and choreographer Valery Panov. Lara Teeter (b. 1955) is an American dancer, actor, singer, theatre director and college professor. He made his Broadway debut in the 1980 musical "Happy New Year". The 1983 revival of "On Your Toes" won him critical recognition and a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. Additional Broadway credits include "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and "The Pirates of Penzance". Off-Broadway and national touring credits include the Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz", "The Robber Bridegroom", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Follies", and "Oklahoma!". Since 2007 he has been a faculty member at The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. where he now serves as an Associate Professor of Theatre and Head of Musical Theatre.
