GARDNER DICKINSON
8x11 image (affixed 11x14 cardstock) of Dickinson and a gallery of
fans watching his chip shot approach the pin.
Magazine Photograph signed: "Gardner Dickinson". Color, 8x11
affixed to 11x14 cardstock. Gardner Dickinson (1927-1998) led Louisiana State
to a national collegiate golf championship in 1947. He won 7 PGA Tour events
between 1956 and 1971, the last one a sudden death victory over Jack
Nicklaus in the Atlanta Classic. He still holds an unmatched 9-1 record
on Ryder Cup competition. Dickinson was a founder of the Senior Tour
(no called the Champions Tour). His wife, Judy Clark Dickinson, was President of
the LPGA Tour. He wrote a candid, un-ghosted, and highly quotable memoir, Let
'er Rip (1995). Edges frayed. Adhesive residue in lower margin. Ink note
(unknown hand) in lower margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
