The actor signed this baseball "A League of Their Own" in the sweet-spot. He played Walter Harvey, who formed the all-women baseball league in the movie.
Baseball Signed: "Garry Marshall/'A League of Their Own'". 2½-inch diameter. Diamond Little League ball. Marshall played candy bar tycoon Walter Harvey, who formed an all-women baseball league during World War II, in A League of Their Own (1992). In the 1970s, Garry Marshall (1934-2016) (born Garry Kent Marsciarelli) produced some of TV's most successful comedies: The Odd Couple (1970-1975), Happy Days (1974-1984), Laverne and Shirley (1976-1983), which co-starred his sister, comedic actress and director Penny Marshall, and Mork and Mindy (1978-1982). In the year he signed this document, Marshall co-created and was the executive producer of a short-lived TV show: Me and The Chimp. Marshall, who had his greatest film success with Pretty Woman (1990), has directed a number of other films, including the more recent The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and Raising Helen (both 2004). The director and producer, who began his career as a comedy writer, has also appeared in a number of films and guest starred on several TV series. Signature is faded, but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
