Inscribed photo of a shirtless Busey
Photograph inscribed and signed: "Hello/James/Gary Busey". B/w, 8x10. A bull rider and professional musician (drummer) before he became an actor, Gary Busey (born William Gareth Jacob Busey, Sr. in 1944) played supporting roles in film and TV beginning in 1970. His breakthrough was the Oscar-nominated starring role in The Buddy Holly Story (1978), in which he did his own guitar and vocal work. Busey seems equally comfortable as villain (Lethal Weapon, 1987; Under Siege (1992) or good guy (Rookie of the Year, 1992), and served up a memorable portrayal of ex-Confederate General Joe Wheeler in the TV movie, The Rough Riders (1997). Busey's near fatal motorcycle crash in 1988 contributed to tougher helmet laws in California. Slightly creased at corners. Fine condition.
