Signed in blue and black sharpie on the white upper portion. South African golfer GARY PLAYER, one of golf's greatest, won 24 PGA tournaments (1958-1978), including seven majors. "The Black Knight" won all four of golf's most prestigious events:the British Open (1959, 1968, 1971, 1974), the Masters (1961, 1978), the PGA (1962-1971) and the U.S. Open (1965). After joining the Champions Tour, he won 19 additional tournaments. Player is also a renowned golf course architect, and he has received acclaim for breeding thoroughbred racehorses at his Gary Player Stud Farm. The Gary Player Foundation, founded in 1983, is dedicated to supporting the educational needs of rural and underprivileged children. JUAN "CHI CHI" RODRIQUEZ, born in 1935 in Puerto Rico, had eight PGA tour victories and won 22 tournaments on the PGA Senior Tour. The golfer, who represented Puerto Rico in 12 World Cups and earned over $7 million over his career, was inducted into the PGA's World Golf Hall of Fame in 1992. Rodriguez made unwanted headlines in May 2010 when he and his wife were robbed at gunpoint in their Puerto Rico home, losing half a million dollars in cash and jewelry. JOEY SINDELAR, a member of Ohio State's NCAA championship golf team in 1979, was the University's Athlete of the Year in 1981. He won 7 PGA tour events, beginning with the Greensboro Open in 1985 and concluding with the Wachovia Championship in 2004. The consistent Sindelar finished among the top ten over 80 times. He joined the Champions Tour in 2008, finishing in the top ten 5 times. CHIP BECK, who turned pro in 1978, first made his mark on the PGA Tour in 1988, when he scored victories at the Los Angeles Open and the USF&G Classic. Also the winner of the 1990 Buick Open and the 1992 Freeport-McMoran Golf Classic, Beck made golf record books at the 1991 Las Vegas Invitational, when he shot only the second 59 round in PGA Tour history.
