Sports Card signed: "Gary Player" on front. Color, 2½x3½. PGA Tour Pro Set. Card No. 194. ©1991, PGA Tour, Inc. Pictures Player in action on front and his career stats for the 1990 Senior Tour on verso, which also bears a color photo of Player and a brief biography. South African golfer Gary Player (born in 1935), who is considered one of golf's greatest players, won 24 PGA tournaments (1958-1978), including seven majors. "The Black Knight" won all four of golf's most prestigious events: the British Open (1959, 1968, 1971, 1974), the Masters (1961, 1978), the PGA (1962-1971) and the U.S. Open (1965). After joining the Champions Tour, he won 19 additional tournaments. Player is also a renowned golf course architect, and he has received acclaim for breeding thoroughbred racehorses at his Gary Player Stud Farm. The Gary Player Foundation, founded in 1983, is dedicated to supporting the educational needs of rural and underprivileged children, and the foundation also supports other children's charities.
