Actor Gene Barry (1919-2009) starred in radio, stage, film and television. He is best known for his portrayal of dapper, well-dressed leading characters in television series. Barry's television works include Our Miss Brooks, Bat Masterson, Burke's Law and The Name of the Game. In 1964, Burke's Law won a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Show; Gene Barry won a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Star (Male). Always the epitome of diamond-in-the-rough masculinity, Barry astounded his fans in the mid-1980s by accepting the role of an aging homosexual in the stage musical version of the French film comedy La Cage Aux Follies. EDWARD SHERMAN (1903-1980) was the long-time manager and agent of the comedy duo Abbott and Costello. He was also an executive producer on The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock (1959), Lou Costello's lone solo project after his split with Bud Abbott in 1957. While Alfred L.
