He signs a release form permitting the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc. to use his name and picture for editorial or promotional purposes, excluding commercial advertising. Actor, director and innovative dancer/choreographer Gene Kelly (1912-1996) was a major 1950s and 1960s star in MGM musicals such as Singin' in the Rain (1952). He received a special Academy Award in 1951 "in appreciation of his versatility as an actor, singer, director and dancer, and specially for his brilliant achievements in the art of choreography on film". Other standout performances included Anchors Aweigh (1945) and An American in Paris (1951). Lightly creased. Tiny nick on upper edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
