Signature: "Gene Nelson". 6x3½ white card. Gene Nelson (1920-1996), an actor, director and screenwriter, appeared on both stage and screen. He earned a Tony Award nomination for Follies and won the Golden Globe as Most Promising Newcomer (1951) for his role in Tea for Two. In all, he appeared in some 25 plus films, the last being S.O.B. (1981). Nelson directed a number of films, including the Elvis Presley vehicles Kissin' Cousins (1963) and Harum Scarum (1965), and the TV series The Rifleman, The Donna Reed Show and Mod Squad. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
