Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Joyce/Sincerely/Gene Reynolds". B/w, 5x7. Gene Reynolds (1923-2020) made his first screen appearance in an Our Gang short of 1934. Other youthful roles included Love Finds Andy Hardy and Boys Town. After appearing in several TV sitcoms and playhouses, he became co-producer of Tales of Wells Fargo (1957-1962), writing and directing many episodes. He went on to direct episodes of many popular sitcoms, including Leave It to Beaver, The Andy Griffith Show and Hogan's Heros. His greatest successes, however came on the series M*A*S*H, for which he wrote 11 episodes and directed 24; and Lou Grant. He won six Emmy awards, all for these two series. Reynolds was President of the Directors Guild of America (1993-1997). Water mark at bottom left. Lightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
