General Jones writes regarding the Air Force Academy 20th Anniversary
Typed Letter Signed: "Dave Jones". 1p. 7x9, Office of the Chief of Staff letterhead. Washington, D.C. 1975 August 18. To: Mr. Charles J. Russhon, New York, New York. In full: "Thank you for your recent letter regarding the proposed Air Force Academy 20th Anniversary celebration. As you will appreciate, the many legal questions that must be addressed in such an undertaking are time consuming; however, I understand that on 5 August 1975, Lt General James R. Allen, USAF Academy Superintendent, sent Air Marshal Slemon a letter outlining our position regarding your proposal. I have asked Major General Guy Hairston, Jr., the Air Force Director of Information, to keep me informed of progress and to serve as liaison with you concerning the details for the celebration. I have asked the Staff to review your proposal for the NATO/SSEATO visitors' program for nex year and we will be in touch on this in the near future. Sincerely" David C.
