GHERMAN TITOV
Cyrillic signature of the cosmonaut, still the youngest human to travel in space
Signature: "Titov" (in Cyrillic), 6x4 card. Gherman Titov (1935-2000) was the second Soviet cosmonaut in space (following Yuri Gagarin). Titov, aboard Vostok 2, was the first to spend more than one day in space (August 6-7, 1961), the first to take photos from space, and the first to pilot a spacecraft. To this day, Titov remains the youngest ever space traveler (25). He remained a test pilot until -with Gagarin's death in 1968, the Soviet government decided it couldn't afford to lose another space hero. Rising to the rank of Colonel-General in the space program, Titov became a Communist member of the Russian Duma after the fall of the Soviet Union. Fine condition.
