Photograph signed: "Henry A. Miley Jr.". B/w 8x10. Henry A. Miley
(1915-2010), a West Point graduate (1940), served in the coast artillery,
anti-aircraft and logistical units in the Pacific Theater of World War
II, including MacArthur's re-conquest of New Guinea and the Philippines.
A specialist in weapons procurement, he was promoted to increasingly
important staff positions, culminating leadership of the US Army Material
Command (1971-1975). After retiring from military service in 1975, he worked
with the American Defense Preparedness Association. He is buried in Arlington
National Cemetery. Lightly creased, most not visible head-on. Small notch at
right edge 1 from bottom corner. Poor contrast but still very readable.
