widely used World War I fighter. Air Force Major General Partridge
became Commander of the Fifth Air Force at Nagoya, Japan in October 1948.
On the outbreak of the Korean War, Partridge and the Fifth moved to Korea
where he remained the senior air official until July 1951. Lieutenant
General Eaker, on August 17, 1942, led the first heavy bomber (B-17) attack on
continental Europe, a raid on Rouen, France. In 1944, he was named Commander
of the Mediterranean Allied Air Forces. Fine condition.
