Enclosed you will find copy of letter to Babe Wayand [not present]. How about you and Cupie planning a trip to Florida. I cannot ask you to come immediately because it is terribly hot this time in Florida and I may be going to Canada or again to Greece. But come fall will be delightful and I have much to show you around the State as well as my farm and beach homes. Please do come. With much love, Cordially," Van Fleet commanded the 8th Infantry and went ashore on Utah Beach on D-Day.
